Last year, I decided to join Team Liquid with one clear goal in mind. I came to North America to help take this team to a new level and work towards domestic and international success. Ultimately, the year turned into quite a roller coaster right from the beginning, and we failed to find our footing for months. And despite starting to work things out as a team throughout summer and seeing the puzzle almost coming together at the end of Worlds, when changing playstyle and adapting to the meta, we didn't manage to achieve the goals set at the start of the season.
This year hasn't been easy for many reasons, but there's still a lot of great moments to cherish. I'm thankful for my time on Team Liquid and all the new friendships I have created. Therefore, saying goodbye is not an easy task, but sometimes doing so can be the start of a brighter future. In this case, I think that's the reality for me.
I have taken time away from social media since we got knocked out of Worlds, mostly reflecting and gathering my own thoughts. More than anything, I felt like I needed a fresh start. And after many positive talks with CLG, I'm confident that this team and organization will provide me with just that.
Some may see this as a downgrade, I don't. Personally, I see it as a great opportunity filled with potential. This entire roster seeks redemption and will be coming in with a ton of hunger and willpower. The pieces are here to create something big, and I'm looking forward to taking on my role within this team to make a statement.
Thanks to all the fans out there who have been supporting me on my journey up until now. And thanks in advance to everybody who will continue to do so in this upcoming year. I will do my utmost to make you proud.
